Get to know your new friends, then leave Marrakech towards Dades passing by the High Atlas Mountains. We will have a stop at the astonishing pass of Tizi n Tichka; enjoy the view from the Atlas Mountains with its snowy peaks. Then stop for a delicious lunch in one of the traditional restaurants in the area. Then drive onwards the charming views over the valleys until we arrive at Ait Benhaddou – a UNESCO world heritage site of Morocco-. This miraculous fortified Kasbah is famously featured in many Hollywood movies, for instance, Laurence of Arabia and Gladiator. We will continue driving south to reach Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Morocco and North Africa. The city is famous for being the filming studios for many international epics movies: the Sheltering Sky, James Bond, The Mummy, and more recently the famous series Game of Thrones. End your journey visiting the kasbah Amherdhil before you check-in to your beautiful Riad in Dades Valley.

Today’s journey will remain as one of the most beautiful experiences in your life. We start our journey driving towards the Sahara Desert with a combination of palm trees, fields of roses, and wonderful valleys. Traveling from Dades passing by Skoura and reaching Morocco’s Grand Canyon scenic Todra Gorge with its tall vertical limestone cliffs. The magic of Todra lies in its shifting colors as the sun slowly moves from east to the west. After having a delicious traditional lunch, we hit the road to the next destination. Arrive in Merzouga and switch the ride to a powerful SUV vehicle and drive into the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. In the heart of the desert, between the golden dunes, you will find our camel caravan waiting for you to continue your desert adventure like a real nomad. Enjoy one of the charming sunsets in the world on the top of the dune. Then continue your camel ride until your accommodation for the night at a desert camp in the middle of the wild desert. Check-in to your tent relax and get prepared for an exotic and unique New Year Party.

Say good morning to your first day of the New Year. After having a delicious breakfast, we will back on the road heading for Fez. It will be a long drive today; though, there are a lot of exciting scenes and places to enjoy on your way. We will pass Erfoud known with dates and fossils then stop in Midelt for a lunch break. Afterward, we will continue through the cedar forests full of Barbary Macaque monkeys on the sides of the way through the middle Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you will see one of the glimpses of Morocco’s nomadic Berbers – traveling across the mountains with their animals and often staying in temporary tents as they head to their next destination. Just before arriving in Fes, we will stop at Ifrane – a beautiful small city often compared to a Switzerland Alpine resort. We arrive at Fes in the early evening.
