Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga- Erg Chebbi

After an early breakfast at your Riad, your driver will pick you up as early as possible, 07h AM in wintertime, and 08h AM in summer (that will allow you enough driving time to catch the sunset in the Sahara Desert) Your desert tour will start passing the plains of Saiss towards the Cedar forests home of Barbary apes in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Drive along to Midelt, where you will stop for a delicious lunch. From here, you will continue driving the Ziz River crossing past thousands of sky-scraping palm trees and fortified Kasbahs to Erfoud, known dates and fossils. Shift our car to a powerful 4*4 vehicle and continue your drive to Merzouga and Erg Chebbi, where your camel caravan will be waiting for you to ride your camel like a real nomad. Enjoy watching the color-changing sunset over Erg Chebbi dunes. Continue riding on your camel towards your Sahara desert camp to freshen up before getting ready for your dinner under the stars while getting entertained by the local nomads playing the drums for you in the heart of the desert.

Day 2: Erg Chebbi – Merzouga – Tinghir- Todgha – Dades Valley

Today’s drive will feature some of the remarkable highlights in this authentic desert tour. You will visit the stunning oasis of Tinghir, where you will be able to take a trek walking along the Todgha River, visit some Berber villages to explore and learn about the lifestyle of the local inhabitants. You will visit the marvelous Todgha Canyons. Then have a traditional lunch on the spot. In the afternoon, you will continue driving along the road of 1000 Kasbahs until you reach Dades Valley, where you will have the opportunity to explore one of the fortified Kasbahs and spend the night at one of the typical riads in Dades.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After a delicious breakfast at your traditional Riad, you will continue your desert journey towards Marrakech passing by Ouarzazate, famous with its film studios and Skoura oasis famous for its large date palm farms to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, where you will have a lunch break at a traditional restaurant in the area. Then go for a detour to visit the Kasbah, and explore its magnificent architectures. This site is a UNESCO world heritage known as a set décor for various Hollywood movies, fashion, and commercial shooting. The Kasbah is well preserved and consisted of various Kasbahs packed together and appears as a single unit.

In the afternoon, continue our trip by driving through the High Atlas Mountains crossing the famous Tizi Ntichka pass. You will enjoy the panoramic view of the Berber villages with houses built with stones and mud. You will notice that life here never changed centuries ago!

Arrive at Marrakech late in the afternoon. Your authentic desert experience ends here filled with such an unforgettable Sahara desert experience and memories that you will treasure for life.

I just returned from a 14 day Morocco trip organized by Detourmorocco. Ibrahim was our friendly driver he was more than focusing on his driving; he was a knowledgeable guide, he speaks good English, he was able to answer all our questions and explain to us the Moroccan culture. My wife and I started our Morocco tour from Casablanca, and then traveled to my wife’s dream city, the blue city of Chefchaouen in the north, we have also visited the capital city of Morocco. What most interested me in this tour is Fes with its historical places. Also, the highlight of this tour is our trip to the Sahara Desert, one of the kind experiences we had so far, we rode the camels and we have spent a beautiful night in a luxury camp, which was beyond our expectations. We spent some time in Marrakech; we have done some shopping in its traditional markets. The accommodations were wonderful, often in beautiful riads in the medina. To sum up my experience with Detourmorocco, we had what we have been told. I highly recommend their service..

My fiance and I had an excellent experience with DetourMorocco. For my first visit to Morocco I needed help in planning logistics, find good palaces to visit, and choosing hotels. I contact Detour Morocco on their website and I was impressed how fast they answer my emails I am highly satisfied with all aspects of the process from planning to execution. Every detail of the tour went as described and everything in Morocco was excellent. The hotels selections were superb and the itinerary was well organized. I would use Detour Morocco again without hesitations.

I just returned from a trip to Morocco with my husband and my kids. We visited Morocco for the first time. We booked a 3 day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes with Detour Morocco, I was fascinated by how flexible the team was as answering my questions via the email. This private tour exceeded our expectations from the very start. Our driver/guide Ibrahim collected us at the exact time from our Riad. The selection of accommodations was terrific, especially in Merzouga, we stayed in a luxury camp located in the heart of the desert. Our trip was incredibly magical,
Thanks to all involved making our vacation awesome. I would like to say if you are visiting Morocco, I recommend Detour Morocco for safe and professional experience.

I extremely loved my experience going with Detour Morocco on this group tour. I learned so much about myself and got to know new fellow travellers who are passionate about traveling the world. In this group tour, I loved the Moroccan food, the variety of landscapes, the locals, and the EVERYTHING! I can’t wait to back again to Morocco. I really missed everything! If you are planning your trip to Morocco, I recommend this company they are very professional and they really know what their clients need. I don’t believe I would have had the same experience if I had not contacted Detour Morocco.
